As an Airport Planner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of airport infrastructure and operations. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you will develop innovative solutions to enhance airport efficiency and passenger experience.

Your new role, what's involved:

• Lead the development of forecast demand and schedule analyses for airport planning studies.
• Conduct capacity and demand assessments using industry-standard tools and guidelines.
• Develop terminal and airfield spatial requirements, creating phased development plans for infrastructure and facilities.
• Generate terminal planning concepts and utilize passenger flow simulation modelling to assess and improve designs.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and technical documentation to communicate complex planning ideas to stakeholders.
• Lead the development of airport master plans, terminal planning, and airfield capacity analyses.
• Conduct demand forecasting, capacity assessments, and operational planning studies.
• Develop phased infrastructure development plans for terminals, airfields, and support facilities.
• Utilize industry-standard methodologies, including IATA's Airport Development Reference Manual (ADRM) and ICAO guidelines, for airport planning.
• Prepare and present planning reports, presentations, and technical documentation for clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with regulatory authorities, airport operators, airlines, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with international standards.
• Conduct passenger flow analysis and simulation modelling to improve terminal and landside design efficiency.
• Provide expert input on sustainability and innovation strategies in airport planning and development.
• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and project management teams to integrate planning solutions into design and construction phases.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring high-quality outputs.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Airport Planning, Transportation Planning, Aviation Management, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of experience in airport planning within a consulting environment, airport operator, or airline.
• Strong expertise in airport master planning, capacity analysis, and feasibility studies for airport expansion projects.
• Proficiency in airport planning tools such as CAST, ArcGIS, AviPLAN, TransCAD, AutoCAD, BIM, or GIS software.
• Experience in passenger flow simulation modelling and airfield operational planning.
• In-depth knowledge of ICAO, FAA, IATA, and local aviation regulations, as well as safety standards and risk management practices.
• Familiarity with mega airport projects and multi-billion-dollar infrastructure developments.
• Understanding of airport infrastructure, architectural and engineering principles, and operational considerations.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work in a fast-paced environment, and ensure successful project delivery within budget, scope, and schedule.
• Experience in airport environmental sustainability initiatives and planning strategies.
• Familiarity with the Middle East aviation sector (desired).
