BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE:
Oversees Maintenance Operations: Manages day-to-day operations, including short-term out-of-phase tasks, to optimize manpower and aircraft ground time.
Plans and Schedules Maintenance: Prepares work packages based on approved schedules and ensures materials and components are preloaded and ready.
Monitors Progress and Reporting: Tracks maintenance activities using schedules and Gantt charts, and ensures timely and accurate progress reports.
Stakeholder Coordination: Liaises with supply chain, technical departments, and stakeholders to align on material needs, maintenance requirements, and continuous updates.
Team and Performance Management: Leads department staff, managing recruitment, training, performance, and engagement to ensure high capability and motivation.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensures adherence to safety, audit, environmental, and quality standards, and oversees improvement of internal systems and processes.
Strategic Planning and Budgeting: Recommends optimal structure, prepares departmental budgets, and monitors financial performance to identify and act on improvement opportunities.
