The Registered Nurse in the Operating Theater is responsible for providing nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. They will assist the surgical team before, during, and after surgeries, ensuring a safe and efficient operating environment. The Registered Nurse will also provide patient education and support during the perioperative period.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with the surgical team to plan and prepare for surgical procedures.
2. Assist in the positioning and draping of patients for surgery.
3. Monitor patient vital signs and ensure their stability during surgery.
4. Administer medications and intravenous fluids as directed by the surgeon.
5. Monitor and maintain sterile conditions in the operating theater.
6. Assist the surgical team in controlling bleeding and maintaining hemostasis.
7. Document surgical procedures, patient responses, and intraoperative care.
8. Provide post-operative care to patients, including pain management and wound care.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating theater setting.
3. Knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile techniques.
4. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
