We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate set up and maintain CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure precision manufacturing.
- Operate and set up CNC machines (milling, turning or grinding) to produce components as per technical drawings and specifications.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures and materials to ensure accurate production.
- Perform regular machine maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
- Inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Interpret and modify CNC programs to optimize machining processes.
- Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to achieve project deadlines.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, tooling usage and machine parameters.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Tool & Die Making or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or in a similar precision machining role.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fashanu/Siemens/Maidenhead or equivalent).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Expertise in using measuring tools such as micrometres, callipers and gauges.
- Knowledge of machine shop mathematics and G-code programming.
- Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve machining issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
