Job summary
An international facilities management company in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Chief BMS Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of Building Management Systems (BMS). The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience, strong HVAC knowledge, and proficiency in BMS software. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, troubleshooting issues, and training junior staff. This role offers opportunities to stay updated with the latest technologies in building management.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in Building Management Systems or related field.
- Proficient in programming and troubleshooting BMS software.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building automation principles.

- Install, configure, and maintain Building Management Systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BMS-related issues.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on BMS equipment.

The Chief BMS Technician will oversee the installation, maintenance, and optimization of Building Management Systems in our facilities, ensuring efficient operation and energy management.
- Install, configure, and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve BMS-related issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on BMS equipment.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to integrate BMS with other building systems.
- Document all maintenance activities and report on system performance.
- Train and support junior technicians and staff on BMS operations.
- Stay updated with the latest BMS technologies and industry best practices.
- 5-10 years of experience in Building Management Systems or related field.
- Proficient in programming and troubleshooting BMS software (e.g., Tridium, Johnson Controls, Honeywell).
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and building automation principles.
- Experience with network protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LON).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
