Production Manager

Top Metal Fabrication firm seeks Production Manager – Fabrication. Manage production of high volume job shop.

Non-Negotiables (We will check):

• Expert in high volume job production
• Expert manager who can manage numerous supervisors
• Strong technical knowledge on fabrication techniques
• Exposure to CNC
• Exposure to ISO and Quality
• Excellent Excel Skills (They use Excel to Organise Everything)
• Driver Administrative Personality
• 10+ years Production Management in Fabrication Jobbing
• 5+ years Boiler Making / Fabrication as Artisan

What the person must be able to do:

• Planning and Scheduling of Jobs
• Manage Staff
• Ensure throughput and quality work delivered
• Utilise CNC and Robotics to enhance productivity
• Manage and Optimise Costing (i.e. Budgets, Materials, Labour etc.)
• Maintain Quality and ISO Standards
• Manage Customer Expectations and On Time Delivery
• Manage 120 Staff (Operators and Welders)
• Ensure quality work is delivered
• Investigate Automation Options using CNC and Robotics

Background work experience:

• 10+ years Production Management in Fabrication Jobbing
• 5+ years Boiler Making / Fabrication as Artisan
• Boiler Making / Fabrication Qualification
• Production Management Qualification
• Production Tracking Systems (Implementing)
• Floor Layout and Optimisation
• Adv: Exposure to Industrial Engineering or Lean
