Food Technologist jobs in Singapore

We are looking for a Food Technologist to develop recipes, refine recipe formulations, enhance the shelf life of food products, and suggest substitute ingredients to improve taste and texture. This role offers an opportunity to work on exciting new products while ensuring food safety standards are met and aligned with company objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee product development of new food products throughout its lifecycle from initial concept, trial runs to commercialisation, in accordance with Company’s strategic direction and objectives
• Identify areas for improvement in existing products, ingredients and processes
• Work closely with various stakeholders to manage production costs while maintaining product quality and profitability
• Ensure that all recipes and products comply with food safety regulations, and meet government food standards for all markets
• Maintain accurate records of the R&D activities, processes and new recipes developed, ensuring all data is organized and up to date
• Design and develop accelerated shelf-life testing methods for product durability and flavour retention
• Be responsible for health, safety, hygiene, ethical and financial integrity of all projects
• Manage and deliver assigned projects in a timely manner
• Continuously seek professional development opportunities to keep up with trends and advancements in food technology

Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Food Science & Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry or related field
• At least 2-3 years of experience in R&D within F&B industry, with a strong understanding of food science and flavour development
• Proficient in food regulations and compliance for various markets
• Strong analytical abilities, with a passion for problem-solving and innovation
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively present research outcomes and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
• Familiarity with product shelf-life testing and quality assurance methods
