Overview

The job-holder is responsible for the set up and functional checks of Operating Theatre (OT) biomedical equipment to ensure that they consistently provide maximum efficiency and optimal performance

You will be responsible for the following:

• Maintain records and cleanliness of OT biomedical equipment
• Maintain good housekeeping and cleanliness of OT biomedical equipment
• Update and maintains records of all OT biomedical equipment
• Maintain appropriate files and records for preparation of any impending surveillances from auditors or any relevant authorities
• Assist in inventories of equipment accessories, supplies, tools and service manuals
• Follow up on the repairs and schedule preventive maintenance services on OT biomedical equipment carried out by BME and vendors
• Ascertain equipment malfunctions, failure and technical difficulties during system downtime
• Provide necessary technical support during equipment failures and collaborate with biomedical engineering division (BME) for any technical problems needing further attention
• Coordinate and liaise with the biomedical engineering division for the installations and commissioning of new surgical equipment and/or equipment for trial
• Perform minor repair and troubleshoot for faulty equipment
• Assist surgical team in preparation of OT biomedical equipment
• Perform set up of and function checks on OT biomedical equipment daily before use
• Assist in Live transmission of surgery (local and overseas)
• Support the department in other matters related to biomedical equipment
• Assist the department to carry out pre-purchase evaluation on OT biomedical equipment before decision of purchase is made by the department
• Assist with ideas for improvement wherever applicable

• NITEC or other relevant trade certificates preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of technical working experience preferably in biomedical related field
• Possess self-motivation, professionalism, dedication to quality and is highly responsible
