Job Overview:

• Adheres to our clients philosophy and mission.
• Adheres to infection control policy.

• Provides direct, professional nursing care to specified population of patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Prepares and presents shift endorsements.
• Assesses and reassesses patients according to policy.
• Oriented and familiar with checking crash cart and defibrillator.
• Attends patient rounds and attends to doctor’s needs for patient care.
• Carries out all doctors’ orders.
• Accurately transcribes medication orders into medication record.
• Checks all patient medical records to ensure they are updated, orders are carried out, and documentation is complete.
• Documents vital signs.
• Prepares charts for preoperative and pre-procedure requirements.
• Calls doctors to follow up on questions and problems.
• Ensures medication ordered is obtained from pharmacy.
• Gets updates on assigned patient conditions and assesses if help is needed.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Respects and supports patient rights.
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and willingness to facilitate unit function, productivity, and efficiency.
• Supervises nursing aids/health care assistants during the shift.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
• Responsible for maintaining team spirit and professional communication within the unit.
• Works as a preceptor to orient and train new employees.
• Efficient in reporting written communication and documentation.
• Actively participates in accreditation processes and compliance with standards to ensure patient safety.

To be considered for this role, you must have one of the following qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing/Nursing Diploma.
• Valid license in country of origin.
• Valid Registration as Nurse Specialist/Technician in Saudi Council for Health Specialties.

Professional Experience:

• At least 2 years’ experience in a clinical setting.

Specialized Knowledge:

• BLS is a must. ACLS, PALS, or NRP based on departmental allocation.
• Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
• Knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
• Ability to plan care for individualized patients, implement interventions and actions, and evaluate individual patient care outcomes and programs including patient/family education.
• Knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards.
• Knowledge of clinical and/or surgical facilities, instruments, and equipment.
• Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
• Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids.
• Ability to draw intravenous and peripheral blood.
• Knowledge of patient evaluation.
