Lactation Nurse (Arabic Speaker) to be Based in Saudi Arabia

Our client, a premier medical facility, is currently looking for a Lactation Nurse to be based in Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. For this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

1. Identifies changes/problems in breastfeeding/lactation and intervenes promptly and appropriately according to lactation standards.
2. Responsible for conducting hospital rounds to evaluate mothers and infants' needs as they relate to breastfeeding and the initiation of lactogenesis.
3. Develops feeding plans to address the nutritional needs of the infant that may include but is not limited to breastfeeding support, breast pumping support, and supplementation as appropriate.
4. Provides direct lactation care using advanced lactation knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate neonates and their families.
5. Plans, teaches, and evaluates breastfeeding and pregnancy wellness for expectant mothers.
6. Assists with training and precepting of staff nurses, lactation team members, other health care providers, and students.
7. Provides verbal and written information to parents about breastfeeding.
8. Educates mothers in the use of electric and manual breast pumps and provides information on storage and transfer of expressed breast milk.
9. Develops and promotes a comprehensive evidence-based lactation program at the facility.
10. Provides coordination and leadership support to all maternal-newborn lactation programs.
11. Willing to work in inpatient and outpatient settings.
12. Possesses effective counseling skills when interacting with mothers/families and healthcare providers.
