Data Analyst / Data Scientist

Company Overview :

Our client is a Malaysian investment firm established in 2016, with a core focus on Food & Beverage, Information Technology, Agriculture, and Farming. The company has a workforce ranging between 200 to 500 employees, driving innovation and sustainable growth across its diverse business sectors.

Key Responsibilities :

• Gather data from various sources such as POS systems, ERP platforms, and other internal systems.
• Cleanse, transform, and standardize raw data into structured formats suitable for analysis.
• Maintain data accuracy and consistency across systems while following data governance policies.
• Perform data analysis to generate insights on business performance, sales trends, and inventory management.
• Design visual reports and interactive dashboards to convey insights to stakeholders.
• Automate periodic reporting on KPIs, sales performance, and operational trends.
• Use statistical methods to identify hidden patterns and correlations that support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with leadership to recommend data-driven strategies for business growth and operational optimization.
• Partner with teams across marketing, finance, and operations to provide ad-hoc analysis.
• Work closely with IT and Data Engineering teams to improve the data infrastructure and ensure data accessibility.

Requirements to Succeed :

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role.
• Proven ability to use data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView to present insights effectively.
• Expertise in SQL, Excel, and data manipulation libraries.
• Proficiency in Python or R, with experience in machine learning frameworks like Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
