A reputable automotive service center in Johor Bahru is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead its service department. The successful candidate will manage daily operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. Candidates must have over 5 years of experience in automotive service operations, including 2–3 years in a managerial role, alongside strong technical knowledge and people management skills. We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Service Manager (Automotive) to oversee the daily operations of our service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing service advisors and technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, customer satisfaction, and achieving departmental performance targets.
- Manage and oversee daily service centre operations
- Lead, supervise, and train service advisors and technicians
- Ensure service quality, efficiency, and compliance with company standards
- Monitor service workflow, productivity, and turnaround time
- Handle escalated customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
- Ensure workshop equipment, tools, and facilities are properly maintained
- Drive service revenue, upselling of service packages, and cost control
- Ensure compliance with safety, SOPs, and manufacturer requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive service operations, including 2–3 years in a managerial role
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive servicing and repairs
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Computer literate (service management systems, MS Office)
- Able to work under pressure and meet performance targets
