Webuild is looking for a Procurement Bidding & Start-up Manager for its Milan office.
The ideal candidate is involved in Procurement Product Development strategies, in a matrix and fast-changing environment. He/she has to manage make/buy strategies and optimize cost and timing processes with Top Management exposure.
Responsibilities:
During the offer study phase:
- Supervising suppliers and contractors to be involved in the market analyses required to define offer estimates, in alignment with the Vendor strategy;
Managing Requests for Quotation (RFQ) for specific projects, in coordination with the Technical Department, Regional Procurement Managers, and Global Commodity Managers for the relevant product categories;
Definition and negotiation of pre-bid agreements and/or contracts with strategic suppliers, in coordination with Regional Procurement Managers and Global Commodity Managers; - Evaluation of the offers received from suppliers, ensuring technical verification with the Technical Department, and preparation of the final offer summary tables and recommendations, ensuring approval and archiving in compliance with defined procedures.
- Ensuring the Procurement and investment plan definition;
- Identifying in coordination with the HQ competence line the organization, size, and overall cost of the Supply Chain departments in the project: Procurement, Plant & Equipment, Warehouse.
During the operational unit start-up phase:
- Preparing the procurement budget and the offer reorder process, ensuring, in coordination with the area’s Cost Control, the AFC Manager, Regional Procurement Managers, and Global Commodity Managers, the verification and updating of procurement cost assumptions and awarding/subcontracting strategies;
- Supporting the project during the start-up phase being responsible for the Supply chain activities handover with the project team.
- Defining in agreement with the Regional Procurement Managers, Global Commodity Managers, and Head of Vendor Management, the supplier list within the Vendor list;
Managing commercial and contractual negotiation activities to achieve objectives of cost-effectiveness, synergy, quality excellence, and lead time optimization; - Drafting conditions related to contracts/purchase orders, with support from the Legal Department and Contract Department, and in coordination with operational unit representatives.
Requirements:
- +10 years mandatory experience in a matrix multinational context.
- Background in the Automotive / White Goods/Industry sector would be a plus.
- Experience in managing teams with several seniority.
- Must have expertise in Product Development.
- Master’s degree in engineering and/or Economics.
- Availability to travel and stay at construction sites and joint ventures.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of a second language will be a plus.
- Market analysis and benchmarking.
- Accounting and Cost control.
- Business case of new initiatives expertise.
- Strategy and PMO capability.
- Knowledge of negotiation techniques and strategies.
- Knowledge of contractual matters (particularly pre-bid agreements).
- Ability to perform value and cost driver analysis.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office; SAP MM, Business Intelligence software.
