As Health and Safety Manager, you will play a pivotal in shaping the safety culture across all phases of this landmark project.

• Develop, implement, and maintain the project's Health and Safety Management Plan in line with CDM Regulations and ISO standards.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant UK legislation, client requirements, and industry best practices.
• Lead risk assessments, method statements, and hazard identification processes for complex civil works.
• Monitor and audit site activities to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders on HSE matters.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, local authorities, and client representatives.
• Prepare and present regular HSE performance reports to senior management.

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in health and safety management within large-scale civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations, UK HSE legislation, and environmental compliance.
• Proven track record in managing safety on projects exceeding £1 billion in value.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience in nuclear or high‑hazard environments.
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification.
• Familiarity with behavioural safety programs.

The role will be mainly office based with trips to site if required. A safety induction will be provided.
