Job summary
A leading insurance firm is seeking an experienced Aviation Assistant Underwriter to assist with underwriting aviation risks and support strategic growth plans. The role involves building relationships with brokers and representing the firm at industry events. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company disrupting aviation insurance and offers a competitive salary of £50,000 plus benefits.
Responsibilities
- Assist with underwriting specialised aviation risks.
- Support on strategic plans to grow the portfolio.
- Build and maintain relationships with brokers and stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events.
Position: Aviation Assistant Underwriter
Salary: £50,000 + package
Location: City of London

- Assist with underwriting specialised aviation risks in line with the company’s underwriting guidelines, risk appetite, and profitability targets.
- Support on strategic plans to grow and enhance the portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with London Market and Lloyd’s brokers, as well as internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Assist in representing the company at key industry events and within market forums to raise brand profile and identify new business opportunities.
