A leading Lloyd’s broker is seeking a technically strong and commercially astute Senior Aviation Broker to join its established aviation division. This role is ideal for an experienced broker with a proven track record of placing and managing complex aviation risks in global markets and building strong client and underwriter relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, place, and advise on program solutions for large and complex aviation clients, including General Aviation, Airlines, Airports, and related risks
Liaise with insurers and clients in support of Account Executives and internal stakeholders
Maintain and develop relationships with key aviation markets in London and internationally
Manage the full renewal cycle: ensure submissions are completed, terms are negotiated, and binders are finalised accurately and on time
Prepare renewal documentation and lead client feedback sessions as needed
Support the collection of revenue from insurer panels and ensure compliance with agreed service levels
Represent the team at relevant industry events such as AIRMIC, FERMA, and RIMS
Collaborate across internal specialty teams to deliver integrated broking solutions
Extensive knowledge of the aviation insurance market (General Aviation, Airline, Airport, etc.)
Strong relationships with key aviation underwriters and insurers
In-depth understanding of the broking lifecycle and global compliance, tax, and regulatory considerations
Experience in producing and placing aviation risks (Treaty and/or Facultative background advantageous)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop tailored placement and business development strategies
Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple clients and renewals under pressure
10+ years of relevant aviation broking experience preferred (5+ years minimum)
Demonstrated ability to manage large and technically challenging aviation accounts
Comfortable working autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture
Competitive base salary (circa £75,000–£100,000 depending on experience)
