Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Full Time Site Security Representative (SSR) at UPS Glasgow Package Centre.
Role & Responsibilities
The SSR will be recognised as the primary person responsible for Site Security by the Civil Aviation Authority
Promoting a positive security culture within the UPS Security Management System framework.
Ensures compliance to the site Aviation Security Program.
Ensures the site is compliant to the UPS Aviation Security methods and procedures.
Responsible to ensure compliance of approved screening methods.
Responsible to ensure compliance of the Chain of Custody process for secure cargo.
Carry out daily, weekly and monthly Quality Assurance controls.
Coordinates Internal compliance Audits.
Represents UPS and supports Authority Inspections.
Ability to manage a threat escalation and incident response situations.
Responsible for Security internal & external KPIs and on time Reporting.
Reports to UK District ASO (Aviation Security Officer).
Liaises with Air Operations Management.
Managing & developing, capabilities and career aspirations of members of the UPS team.
The ideal candidate should have the following skills and attributes:
5-year verifiable Background check.
Criminal Records Background and Counter Terrorism checks.
Fluency in English is essential both written and verbal.
Excellent attention to detail.
Previous experience in General or Aviation Security an advantage.
Full training and career development will be provided to the successful candidate.
High competency with MS Office/360.
Good competency with use of computer systems.
Ability to work in a pressurized and dynamic environment.
Able to work under tight deadlines.
Good time management skills.
Aptitude for problem solving and communication.
Open to work flexible & additional hours.
