We're looking for a Staff Nurse to join the Pioneer Ward inpatients ward at Rochdale Infirmary.

As the Staff Nurse, working within our surgical Ward you will plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care for a variety of surgical specialities, including gynaecology, general surgery, trauma, neurosurgery, urology and other surgical specialities including ophthalmology.

You'll demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and to be accountable for own actions and contribute to the setting of clinical standards, policy and procedures and research-based care as part of a wide multidisciplinary team.

But that's not all! You'll also step into a mentoring role, guiding and supervising learners and unregistered staff--empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals. Your influence will be felt throughout the team as you share your expertise, provide invaluable teaching, and act as a dedicated named supervisor.

• NMC registered or studying towards

• Experience working within the surgical directorate
• Experience of the use of clinical systems

• Ability to undertake venepuncture, physiological observations, and ECG recording
• Demonstrates evidence based clinical knowledge

• Ability to demonstrate and interest and understanding of the requirements of surgical nursing
• Ability to coordinate your workload and supervise members of the team, ensuring high quality, safe and effective patient care
• Previous experience within surgical setting
