We are looking for a Night Cleaning Supervisor to lead and support our cleaning team in delivering a consistently high standard of cleanliness and hygiene services at Sheffield Railway Station.
- 5 nights on / 3 rest days
- 21:30 – 06:30
- Includes a 30-minute unpaid meal break
- Average 37 hours per week
This is a key role within a professional facilities team, providing a proactive, customer-focused service to our client.
The successful candidate will be a hands‑on working supervisor, completing cleaning duties alongside the team while ensuring all tasks are delivered on time and to the required standard.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and able to provide the required documentation. Due to the physical nature of the role, a good level of fitness is essential.
As Cleaning Supervisor, you will support the management team by ensuring the smooth running of the night cleaning operation, including:
- Supervising a team of Cleaning Operatives to deliver consistent cleaning standards
- Organising cover for holidays and absences, including providing cover yourself when required
- Ordering and monitoring cleaning stock and supplies
- Training new starters and delivering toolbox talks
- Completing recorded conversations, return‑to‑work meetings, and supporting performance management where necessary
- Carrying out site audits alongside the VINCI and client teams
- Ensuring all cleaning equipment is maintained, clean, and in working order
- Completing machinery check sheets and arranging repairs when required
On occasion, you may be required to provide support at other local sites within the area.
You and your team will be responsible for essential cleaning tasks including, but not limited to:
- Damp wiping and dusting
- Vacuuming and mopping
- Jet washing
- High‑level cleaning (from ground level)
- Window cleaning
- Waste removal and litter picking
- Washroom and welfare cleaning
- Previous cleaning experience
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising a small team
- Industrial cleaning experience (jet washing, deep cleaning, window cleaning)
- Basic IT skills
