Rockstar Games is seeking a passionate Senior Technical Artist to join our award-winning development team. You will develop new tools and technologies, improve pipelines, and manage workflows for the extensive files and assets in our games.

This is a full-time, permanent, in-office position based at our studio in Dundee.

• Create and maintain animation tools and pipelines.
• Innovate and solve technical problems.
• Collaborate with Technical Artists and related departments.
• Support the Animation team.

• Design, develop, and support animation tools and pipelines.
• Develop automated data processing solutions.
• Provide feedback during code reviews and mentorship.
• Work with Runtime and Animation teams to enhance engine features.
• Document tools and workflows.
• Diagnose and resolve animation issues.

• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Artist or similar role.
• Experience with a full game production cycle or long-term projects.

• Mentoring experience.
• Proficiency with PySide or PyQt for UI development.
• Understanding of 3D animation mathematics.
• Knowledge of software engineering principles.
• Problem-solving skills and creativity.
• Ability to develop ideas from conception to implementation.

These skills are desirable but not required:

• Experience with C++ and C# desktop applications.
• Advanced Qt knowledge.
• Experience with package management systems.
• Knowledge of in-engine animation systems and character rigging.
• Background as a professional animator or experience in multi-platform environments.
