Job description

Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: OL4
Pay Range: £13.69 to £15.83 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Reeson Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in the OL4 area. This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant role is to support pupils in Key Stage 2 (KS2) and provide valuable assistance in their academic and personal development. The school is looking to meet Teaching Assistant candidates as soon as possible to find the right match for this rewarding role.

About the Teaching Assistant Role:
  1. The Teaching Assistant will work across KS2, supporting the class teacher in delivering lessons and ensuring the pupils stay engaged in their learning.
  2. The Teaching Assistant will provide one-to-one and small-group support, assisting children who need additional help to reach their full potential.
  3. The Teaching Assistant will help to manage the classroom and contribute to maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
  4. The Teaching Assistant will help support children with a variety of needs, including SEND, and will work closely with the class teacher to tailor support to individual learning requirements.
  5. The Teaching Assistant will also be involved in helping to deliver interventions and ensuring pupils' emotional and social well-being is supported.
The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:
  1. Have experience working with children in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
  2. Be adaptable, patient, and able to work with children of varying abilities.
  3. Be confident in providing one-to-one and small-group support.
  4. Have a proactive approach to assisting with classroom management and pupil engagement.
  5. Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification (desirable but not essential).
  6. Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and staff.
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
  1. A clear Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  2. Two professional references covering the last three years.
  3. Experience supporting children in an educational setting.
  4. A strong commitment to making a positive impact in the classroom.
