A leading aerospace company based in Marignane seeks a Software Architect for Vehicle System Management (VMS) to oversee the full software architecture for helicopter systems. The role involves driving the software design, ensuring performance and compliance with regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders, including Airbus India. Candidates should have a degree in Engineering, over 6 years of experience in embedded software, and proficient communication skills in both French and English.
Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters in Marignane is looking for an enthusiastic Software Architect for Vehicle System Management (VMS) with strong vehicle system and software knowledge to join our dynamic Vehicle Functions Department.
As a Vehicle System Management Software architect, you will be an integral part of the Vehicle Functions Department, working alongside experts in software development, system design, and avionics architectures. You’ll act as a product owner and focal point, being accountable for the full VMS software architecture of helicopters. You’ll play a key animation role to achieve a mature design architecture, and an improved software performance.
You’ll drive the design of the VMS Software, being accountable for the performance, modularity and reusability of the software. You will also take part in the development, and integration of functional software supporting essential helicopter vehicle and engine systems monitoring.
To achieve this you will work in close collaboration with all required stakeholders: department leader, avionics system architects, developers, avionics project leader, Helicopter Project, Safety, Software Test team.
You’ll be accountable for the entire SW design, including the re-usability between the products and the modularity. You will also be responsible to validate the most appropriate SW verification methods and environment, choosing the best tools and methods to be used to ensure SW certification towards regulations.
