At AUTODOC, we’re looking for a driven Labor Law Specialist (m/f/d) to join our legal team and oversee labor law and labor relations across Europe.
Reporting to the Labor Law Counsel, you’ll be driving global initiatives, policies, and processes. Your role will focus on ensuring that local markets’ legal and practical needs are met while maintaining consistency with global standards.
Job Requirements:
Labour Law Compliance: Ensure compliance with labor laws and policies; regularly audit practices and advise on necessary adjustments.
Advisory and Consultation: Liaise with HR and stakeholders on labor-related legal matters and serve as a trusted advisor for labor law inquiries across Europe; provide guidance e.g. for employment contracts, workplace disputes, terminations, and disciplinary actions.
Drafting and Reviewing Documents: Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts and legal documents to ensure alignment with labor laws and company policies.
Dispute Resolution and Litigation Support: Manage grievances, disputes, and disciplinary actions; represent the organization in labor law disputes, arbitrations, and proceedings and liaise with external legal counsel as needed.
Employee Relations: Support HR in developing policies for a compliant work environment and mediate between management and employees to resolve issues.
Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions on labor law and workplace rights; promote compliance awareness among employees and management.
Policy Development: Assist in developing and reviewing policies, handbooks, and grievance procedures to ensure legal soundness.
Compliance Audits and Reporting: Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities and ensure timely response to audits or legal inquiries.
Stay Updated on Legal Developments: Stay informed on labor law changes, trends, and legislative updates; advise stakeholders on any necessary adjustments to company policies.
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in law or business law with focus on Labor Law.
2 years of professional working experience in Labor Law in a corporate environment.
Fluency in English AND German required.
Very good conflict management and mediation skills, negotiation skills and the power of persuasion.
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to work with different departments and external stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of local and national labour laws, regulations, and employment standards.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
Effective at developing solutions to complex legal issues related to employment.
Meticulous in reviewing legal documents and ensuring compliance.
