What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify, research, prospect, and site land opportunities for utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects
- Work on all initiatives related to site acquisition, financing, and development of utility-scale energy storage and renewable energy projects
- Negotiate with landowners on site control agreements for utility-scale renewable and energy storage projects
- Support development activities for both new and ongoing utility-scale renewable and energy storage projects in the company's portfolio
- Emphasize tax abatement, permitting, and environmental compliance in development activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3-5+ years of utility-scale renewable energy, energy storage, battery storage, LNG, and/or natural gas experience
- Hands-on experience with real estate transactions and contracts for projects in the renewables, natural gas, LNG, or energy storage space
- Understanding of the RFP/RFI process in project development
- Knowledge of project siting, permitting, prospecting, and due diligence for utility-scale renewable projects
- Experience with site prospecting, land negotiations, and project financing initiatives
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team-oriented environment
