About the job

The team is looking for a Sr Cloud Platform Administrator to design, analyze, acquire, install, monitor, optimize, operate, modify, configure, and support infrastructure, operating systems, databases, system management utilities, and Internet/intranet-related tools.

As a Cloud Platform Administrator, you will:

• Provide SAS software support for assigned products, including installation, maintenance, documentation, customization, and utilization of product features.
• Write and/or modify system software routines and programs.
• Prepare and conduct system and programming tests requiring interfacing of hardware and software.
• Diagnose and resolve user and operational problems with software and hardware.
• Be responsible for root cause analysis and suggesting solution options to the customers based on findings.
• Develop and review procedures to ensure the security and integrity of all systems and data.
• Modify, maintain, debug, optimize, and update software, such as compilers, link editors, assemblers, macros, and subroutines, as well as software-defined compute (hypervisors), storage, and network.
• Develop tools and software to manage SAS and third-party software.
• Engineer, architect, install, and configure operating systems and complex system software.
• Architect system automation for consistent and reliable deployment of complex systems.

Required Qualifications

• Eight years of experience writing programs in more than one language required.
• Five years of experience in end-user and system administrator consulting or providing other first-level consulting required.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related quantitative field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, utilities, services, and editors for assigned area.
• Career level of technical knowledge of the internal workings, diagnostic tools, and features of complex systems.
• Aptitude for visualization of solutions for problems.
• Ability to solve data processing problems.
• Ability to script or write software programs that acknowledge the peculiarities of the underlying machine architecture.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others and to problem-solve.
• Ability to independently learn how to use new facilities quickly from supplied documentation.
• Ability to communicate in Spanish (intermediate level).
