Venture Capital Associate jobs in Malaysia

Oneira Talent are delighted to be mandated by a Venture Capital firm based in the UAE, who are hiring an Investment Associate/ Senior Associate to join their team.

The firm has solid financial backing and deploys capital into early-stage MENA companies (sector agnostic).

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deal Sourcing & Analysis: Identify, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities across the MENA region.
2. Market Research: Conduct deep-dive industry research, competitive analysis, and trend forecasting.
3. Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models for valuation, scenario analysis, and due diligence.
4. Due Diligence: Assess business models, unit economics, and risk factors of potential investments.
5. Portfolio Support: Work closely with portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance and operational support.
6. Investment Memos & Presentations: Prepare high-quality investment reports and present recommendations to senior leadership.
7. Networking & Relationship Management: Build relationships with founders, co-investors, and key stakeholders in the MENA startup ecosystem.

Key Requirements:

1. 3–6 years of experience in venture capital
2. MENA experience is highly preferred
3. Strong financial acumen with experience in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
4. Deep understanding of the MENA startup ecosystem and emerging market investment trends.
5. Proven ability to source, evaluate, and structure investment deals.
6. Arabic language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
7. Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.
8. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
