How does your working day look like
Responsibilities
- Event Setup: Set up and configure audio-visual equipment including microphones, speakers, projectors, screens and lighting systems in event spaces throughout the hotel.
- Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support during events to troubleshoot and resolve any audio-visual issues promptly.
- Sound Mixing and Control: Operate sound mixing consoles and audio equipment to ensure optimal sound quality during events. Balance audio levels and adjust settings as needed.
- Video Support: Set up and operate video equipment such as projectors, monitors and cameras for presentations, video conferencing and other visual needs.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with event planners, organizers and hotel staff to understand event requirements and provide tailored AV solutions.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and inventory AV equipment, ensuring that all devices are in good working condition. Coordinate repairs and replacements when necessary.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to guests and event organizers addressing their audio-visual needs and ensuring a positive experience.
- Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety standards and industry regulations related to audio-visual equipment and operations.
Qualifications
- Your personality counts more than your CV
- Proven experience as an AV Technician, Sound Engineer or similar role in a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of audio-visual systems including sound reinforcement, video display and lighting equipment.
- Proficiency in operating AV software, mixing consoles, amplifiers, microphones and other audio-visual devices.
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and live streaming technologies is desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays based on event schedules.
- Diploma or certification in Audio Engineering, Sound Technology or a related field is preferred.
