JOB PURPOSE:

1. To assist the heads of Transaction Banking (TB), Client Coverage (CC) and Global Markets (GM) in Pakistan drive the implementation of SCBs new Operational Risk Framework.
2. Build a strong and lasting network with senior Wholesale Banking management, and be a trusted advisor on Operational Risk matters alongside Wholesale Banking Operational Risk as 2nd line oversight.
3. Align the Pakistan Operational Risk Framework (ORF) implementation to the UAE.
4. Be a subject matter expert and Go-To person for the business as first line of defence on all Operational Risk roll-out matters, in conjunction with WBOR.
5. Work in concert with WBOR in-country and in the region.
6. Mentor the business during the ORF rollout, ensuring the tools and systems used by the business are being used effectively.
7. Challenge senior management and ensure quality execution of business process reviews, ensuring that MIS being provided to Regional and Global Teams is of exceptional quality and detail.
8. Ensure transparency and issue articulation by the business when issues are identified during Process reviews.
9. Ensure the business heads adopt a 'best practice'.

KNOW HOW AND EXPERIENCE

1. Must have Operational Risk experience.
2. Candidates must have a working knowledge of TB, CC, GM.
3. A broad understanding of WB core products, business network and structure.
4. Background in Risk Management/Operations or Business Finance.
5. Exceptional interpersonal skills in networking, communication and influence are important in a multifunctional and multicultural team environment.
6. Previous project management and organization skills would be an advantage.
7. Excellent PC skills.
8. A focused individual who is an excellent communicator with good numerical skills, who has the ability to influence others by showing initiative and creativity.
9. Understand the WB regional aspirations and the strategy required to deliver these.
10. Quick to recognize gaps and opportunities that would improve operating procedures, people development, risk management and infrastructure.
