Job Title:Junior Project Manager

Job Purpose:

The Junior Project Manager will play a vital role in supporting project planning, tracking, and execution using Jira and Agile Scrum methodologies. This role ensures that project tasks are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain project momentum and facilitate effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Tracking & Coordination:

• Maintain and update project progress on Jira, ensuring all tasks, sprints, and backlogs are accurately tracked.
• Collaborate with team members to capture task statuses and resolve blockers.
• Monitor and report key project metrics, such as sprint velocity, burn-down charts, and timelines.
• Assist in creating and maintaining project roadmaps, schedules, and timelines.

Agile & Scrum Support:

• Act as a Scrum Master for smaller projects or assist senior Scrum Masters in larger projects.
• Schedule and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
• Ensure adherence to Agile principles and best practices by team members.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

• Liaise with team members, stakeholders, and clients to gather requirements and communicate project updates.
• Prepare concise project status reports and escalate issues when necessary.
• Support the Project Manager in maintaining stakeholder engagement and alignment.

Process Improvement:

• Contribute to the optimization of project management workflows and Jira configurations.
• Identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions to enhance team efficiency and collaboration.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, IT, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in project coordination or management roles, preferably in an Agile environment.
• Familiarity with Jira for project tracking and management.
• Understanding of Agile Scrum frameworks and methodologies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or similar tools.

Desirable:

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or other Agile certifications.
• Experience with other project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Confluence.
• Exposure to software development or IT projects.
