Specialist Clinical Pathologist (Transfusion Medicine) - Abu Dhabi

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Clinical Pathologist to join our team at Allocation Assist Middle East in Abu Dhabi. As the Specialist Clinical Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing expertise in the field of transfusion medicine and managing the Blood Bank services at our facility. Your main duties will include conducting diagnostic tests, analyzing and interpreting patient data, and providing expert opinions and recommendations to other medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conducting laboratory tests and analyzing patient samples to determine blood types, compatibility, and diseases related to transfusion medicine.
2. Providing expert consultations to physicians and other healthcare professionals on appropriate blood products for transfusion.
3. Supervising and managing the Blood Bank services, ensuring compliance with related protocols and regulations.
4. Maintaining proper records and documentation of all blood products received, tested, and issued.
5. Performing literature reviews and remaining up-to-date with new developments and advancements in transfusion medicine.
6. Developing and implementing policies and procedures for safe and effective blood transfusions.
7. Collaborating with other departments and healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.

Qualifications And Experience

1. Medical degree from an accredited institution.
2. Board certification in Pathology and Transfusion Medicine.
3. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a specialist clinical pathologist in transfusion medicine.
4. Experience in managing Blood Bank services is highly preferred.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
8. Must be Western-trained.
