Sinopec Fuel Oil (Singapore) Pte Ltd is headquartered in Beijing and is a subsidiary of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (“Sinopec”). Sinopec is Asia’s biggest refiner of oil and is one of the largest integrated energy and chemical company. It is listed in Shanghai, Hong Kong, New York and London.
Our core business is in the procurement, trading and sales of fuel oil and marine bunkers in Singapore and the rest of the Asia Pacific region. We source our cargoes internationally and will conduct blending to optimize cargo value. Due to the rapid expansion of business, we are looking for the below candidates to join our dynamic team in Singapore.
Bunker Operations Executive
Roles & Responsibilities
The Bunker Operations Executive will work closely with the Traders, Charterer, and Finance Department teams across Sinopec Fuel Oil Group and will be responsible for:
- Ensuring all operations activities are conducted in compliance with relevant operating standards.
- Preparation and execution of contracts, credit, charter party, documentation, product quality, insurance, invoice, agent, surveyor and their implications on operation.
- Working closely with Charterer to ensure compliance with Sinopec Fuel Oil Group Shipping policy.
- Ensuring all shipping data are timely and accurately recorded in the relevant systems (ERP & SAP).
- Monitoring and verifying payments to ship-owners on freight/heating and bunker suppliers.
- Interface with the Financial Operations and Credit teams to provide assurance on trading operation processes and procedures.
- Monitoring and managing operations functions including inventory management and logistics (i.e. liaising with terminals, vessel operators, cargo surveyors, agents, and customers on oil loading/discharging operations).
- Maintaining timely and accurate records in the relevant systems (ERP & SAP).
- Monitoring and managing product stocks and components at the terminals, and executing component blending, if necessary, to meet required product specifications.
- Interface with the regional offices regarding operational decisions & resolution of issues.
- Monitoring and verifying payments to ship-owners, agents, underwriters, terminal operators, and surveyors.
- Monitoring and preparing payments to suppliers and customers.
- Pro-active management and recovery of demurrage, oil loss, and insurance claims.
- Developing, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with third parties, including terminals, shipping companies, surveyors, agents, and marketing businesses.
- Providing market intelligence to support analytics and traders' understanding of market activities.
- Supporting local or group initiatives, as required, that enhance value (i.e. ERP, SAP systems projects).
- Pro-active management and enhancement of commercial operations and risk assessment.
- Managing and achieving operational and business goals through systematic planning and effective management of available resources.
- Planning to extract maximum value by optimizing stock management, blending, and efficient movement of products in the region without compromising Sinopec’s health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Providing support and assistance coverage for teammates during leave whenever applicable.
- Time management and professionalism are required at all times.
- Providing collective assessments and quick, innovative solutions to solve complex problems.

Reporting Relationship
The Bunker Operations Executive will report to the Head of Operations Team.
Work Experience
2-3 years of experience will be an advantage but not necessary.
Education
Candidate must possess at least a diploma from a polytechnic in any field.
