Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain yarn spinning machines for the manufacturing of multifilament yarn, with a focus on polyester or nylon materials.
Conduct research and development activities to optimize yarn spinning processes and enhance product performance.
Familiarity with film manufacturing processes, including film blowing and extrusion, with a focus on membrane applications for apparel.
Perform simple equipment repairs, troubleshooting, and servicing to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Master's or PhD degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field. Bachelor’s degree holders with large experience in yarn spinning and polymer extrusion are also welcome to apply.
Expertise in one from 3 below stated areas of work is highly desirable and will be an advantage:
Experience in yarn spinning, with a strong preference for candidates with expertise in multifilament yarn production from polyester or nylon.
Proficiency in polymer extrusion
Practical experience in film manufacturing processes.
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with industrial equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Fast learner.
