Research Scientist (Process Robotisation), ARTC

Job Description

Autonomous Systems & Robots (ASR) Group is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to lead and conduct research in the development of AI-driven robotics solutions capable of autonomous decision-making and task execution. He/she is expected to be independent and initiative-driven, demonstrating the capacity to discover innovative solutions to challenges.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Research into novel human-centric frameworks for robotic task learning and optimization.
2. Work with a team of scientists and engineers to develop and enhance different machine learning techniques/models to advance robot manipulation capabilities for industry manufacturing processes.
3. Formulate scientific research directions and innovative proposals to secure competitive funding.
4. Understand the latest trends in the manufacturing domain (e.g., Industry 5.0) and provide innovative solutions to industry problems in this area.

Job Requirements

1. PhD degree in Robotics, Computer Science, or other relevant disciplines with emphasis on optimization, machine learning, and AI.
2. Preferably 1 year of experience in research of R&D projects.
3. Deep understanding of robot manipulation and kinematics.
4. Proficient programming/coding skills in developing optimization and machine learning algorithms.
5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Excellent technical presentation and writing skills.
7. Proactive team player and technically motivated to solve problems innovatively.
