A healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia seeks a Support Services Manager to oversee non-clinical operations, including facilities and transport. The role requires at least 8 years in healthcare support services and proficiency in Arabic and English. Responsibilities include developing budgets, ensuring compliance with health standards, and driving service excellence. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient and staff experiences while maintaining efficient operations.
The Support Services Manager oversees non-clinical operations that enable high-quality patient care, including facilities, housekeeping, food services, laundry, transportation, and supply chain. This role ensures efficient service delivery, safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective operations while supporting clinical teams and enhancing the patient and staff experience.
The Manager leads planning, organizing, and directing support services across the facility to ensure seamless, safe, and patient-centered operations. Responsibilities include developing service level agreements, budgeting, procurement, vendor management, and workforce planning for housekeeping, dietary, environmental services, transportation, and facilities maintenance. The role collaborates with clinical leadership to align support services with care pathways, infection control, and quality initiatives. It drives process improvements, leverages technology for inventory and asset management, and oversees safety programs, emergency preparedness, and regulatory inspections. External duties involve liaising with suppliers, contractors, regulators, and community partners. The position requires strong people leadership, contingency planning, and a commitment to sustainability, patient comfort, and a clean, welcoming environment that supports positive patient outcomes and staff morale.
