Chief Accountant

We are looking for a Saudi Chief / Senior Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for handling the basic accounting documentation and requires a complete concept of a specific accounting system such as payrolls and benefits, payables, receivables, fixed assets, cost distribution, ledgers and sub-ledger controls, and knowledge of data processing.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare routine periodic summaries, statements, and reports based on information taken directly from the accounts and records.
• Keep the department head informed of all activities and assignments completion.
• Review applicable general instructions, policies, and procedures and determine the degree of compliance with actual practice and report on the reasons for non-compliance.
• Prepare reconciliation statements which reflect a comprehensive comparison of accounts, their subsidiaries, and supporting records.
• Attend Continuing Education, Safety, Infection Control, and Performance Improvement programs to keep updated with the current practices.
• Handle activities of payroll benefit plans which encompass the calculation, payments, adjustments, withholding, and answering all related questions posed by employees and parent companies.
• Check and verify all company operating budgets and control their transmittal to and from the data processing center, also record and control any budget changes.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Chief Finance & Administration Officer or the Accounts Manager.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor of Commerce with specialization in accounting from a recognized university; a master's degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENT:

Five years of experience, preferably in a hospital. Must have reasonable knowledge of computer applications. Demonstrate good command of English and Arabic languages.
