Job Description

As this role is essential to the organization, it is vital candidate comes with a track record of delivery and proven experience. Among the many responsibilities are listed below:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).
  • Manage cash flow, monitor liquidity needs, and optimize working capital.
  • Supervise the processing of invoices, payments, and collections for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and ensure proper classification of transactions.
  • Manage all aspects of fixed assets, including acquisition, disposal, depreciation accounting, asset tracking, and capitalization policy.
  • Design and implement robust internal controls to safeguard the accounting process, prevent fraud, and ensure the reliability of financial reporting.
  • Develop and document comprehensive accounting policies and procedures for consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Perform financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Provide training and guidance to accounting staff on internal procedures, policies, and controls to ensure understanding and compliance.
  • Monitor adherence to internal controls and accounting standards, conducting periodic reviews and audits to assess effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with tax professionals to ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations (including SST).
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture within the accounting department.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, clients, and other external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of current accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal Finance Manager will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company and must possess the below requirements;

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA certification preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in a progressive financial accounting and reporting role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial statement preparation, analysis, and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).
  • Proven ability to develop and implement robust internal controls for the accounting function.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems a plus.
