Job summary
A leading telecommunications company in Milan is seeking a Cloud and SDN Solution Architect to design cloud solutions across European markets. You will develop strategic technology plans and ensure service quality while collaborating with vendors. Candidates should have a degree, 5+ years of experience in cloud workloads, and strong knowledge in virtualization and networking protocols. The role involves working in a diverse environment that values inclusion and empowers its employees.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years professional experience in cloud and virtualization telco workload.
- Expert in data center infrastructure, cloud computing and virtualization architectures.
- Solid understanding of routing and switching protocols (BGP, ISIS, OSPF).
- Experience with Network Load Balancers and Firewalls.
- Experience designing/implementing IPv6 solutions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare technology plan in line with Vendor’s roadmap to ensure service quality.
- Design solutions (CaaS, IaaS, and/or PaaS) according to Vodafone needs.
- Evaluate Vendors’ offers and support Supply Chain during negotiations.
- Support capacity planning and monitoring through Machine Learning.
