Role: Inspection Coordinator

Travel required: 3 trips to Angola per year
Job Purpose:
The Inspection Coordinator will be responsible for the efficient execution of the inspection program offshore. This includes planning, organising, and overseeing all aspects of activities offshore to ensure meeting the efficiency KPIs and compliance quality standards by coordinating NDT technicians, reviewing inspection program KPIs, managing schedules, and communicating with stakeholders throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop NDT inspection plans based on company requirements, including testing methods, procedures, and acceptance criteria.
- Allocate NDT technicians to specific tasks and manage inspection schedules to meet project deadlines.
- Coordinate with other project teams (integrity, site projects, FM etc) to ensure seamless integration of NDT activities.
- NDT Technician Oversight:
- Monitor and supervise NDT technicians during inspections to ensure proper technique and adherence to procedures and performance manage the inspection durations.
- Review and verify NDT reports for accuracy and completeness, identifying any non-conformances.
- Address technical issues arising during inspections and provide guidance to technicians as needed.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure all NDT activities comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
- Investigate and document non-conformances, coordinating corrective actions with relevant parties.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare comprehensive NDT inspection reports, including findings, data analysis, and recommendations.
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including inspection records, calibration logs, and technician qualifications.
- Communicate inspection results to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of various NDT methods like ultrasonic testing, radiographic inspection, magnetic particle inspection, and eddy current testing.
- Stay updated on new NDT technologies and advancements in the field.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Associate's degree or equivalent in a technical field related to NDT, with relevant certifications.
- Certifications: Level II or Level III NDT certifications in applicable testing methods as per industry standards (ASNT, CGSB, etc.) API plant inspector certification is advantageous.
- Experience: Several years of experience as an NDT technician with demonstrated proficiency in different NDT techniques. Planning experience is advantageous.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in data analysis, interpretation of NDT results, and report writing.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
