The Manor House Roundhay is our brand new 65 bed, state-of-the-art care home, set to open in October 2024.

At The Manor House Roundhay we make the most of mealtimes. Anchor has won national recognition for the quality of our food and catering service, and with ambient dining areas throughout the home, mealtimes are integral to the happiness and well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Supervising and training a Hospitality Assistant to support you in providing a first-class service to residents, residents’ families, and visitors.
2. Providing a fantastic dining experience in a luxury environment, for customers and their guests in the restaurant as part of a larger, dedicated, and highly trained team.
3. The presentation of the restaurant, ensuring that tables are set up with appropriate linens, silverware, and glassware, and they are cleaned and prepared ready for the next customers.
4. Providing front of house service to the restaurant and Café Bar, meeting, greeting, and seating customers.
5. Presenting and advising on menu choices, ensuring that the specials for the day are offered and taking food and beverage orders from customers.
6. Serving food and beverages to customers, ensuring that they are enjoying their meals and do not have any further requirements.
7. Keeping the kitchen equipment, crockery, and utensils clean and hygienic and reporting concerns to line manager.

Required knowledge and experience:

1. Ideally level 2 Food Hygiene certificate or equivalent, or willing to work towards this.
2. A positive, professional approach and understanding of person-centred care with older people.
3. Experience of working in the service or care sector, providing face-to-face Customer Service is desirable.
4. Flexibility to do shift work, including working alternate weekends.

Required skills:

1. Able to deliver the highest standard of customer service with a professional yet caring approach.
2. Enthusiastic, looking to develop new skills to support customers with varying challenges including increasing dependence and dementia.
3. Able to build rapport with Customers, family, and friends, enabling happy, fulfilled, and independent living.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to adapt style to suit audience.
