Job summary
A leading staffing agency in the UK is seeking a CNC Miller Programmer to operate Matsuura 5-axis machines. This permanent, days-based role in Pitstone offers a competitive hourly rate of £20-£22, depending on experience. Ideal candidates will have proven experience programming and operating 5-axis machines, proficiency with Hypermill software, and a strong understanding of precision machining. Location: Pitstone, Buckinghamshire
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 40 Hours/Week
Pay: £20.00 - £22.00 per hour (DOE)
- Programming, setting, and operating 5-axis Matsuura CNC mills, including the world's first Matsuura MX520T.
- Creating efficient and accurate CNC programs using Hypermill CAD/CAM software.
- Producing high-precision components for a range of industries, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Working independently from engineering drawings and 3D models.
- Collaborating with a small, expert team to meet tight tolerances and deadlines.
- Proven experience programming and operating 5-axis CNC milling machines, ideally Matsuura.
- Proficient with Hypermill or similar CAM systems.
- Strong understanding of precision machining and tight tolerance work.
- Able to interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD files.
- Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Competitive hourly rate of £20-£22ph, depending on experience.
- 4-day working week (Mon-Thurs - 3-day weekend!)
- 1.5x Overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays.
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays, increasing with service (holiday calculated in hours).
- Sick pay scheme.
- Standard pension or option to upgrade to a 5% matched scheme.
