Wok Commis Chef Opportunity at Shanghai Me. We are currently recruiting a Wok Commis Chef to join the kitchen brigade at Shanghai Me, one of London’s most exciting and high-profile Asian restaurants. This is an outstanding opportunity for a passionate Wok Commis Chef who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment, working with premium ingredients and learning from an experienced senior team.

As a Wok Commis Chef, you will support the wok section in delivering consistently high standards during busy services. You will work closely with the senior chefs to develop your technique, speed, and understanding of authentic Asian flavours and modern presentation.

• Supporting the wok section during preparation and service.
• Assisting with high-volume service while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Learning wok techniques, sauces, and mise en place standards.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Working as part of a professional, disciplined brigade.

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef, ideally with some exposure to wok cooking.
• A genuine interest in Asian cuisine and wok techniques.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
