Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Various Schools Around LE13/15

Teaching Personnel is looking for dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students across a variety of schools around Melton, Oakham, and surrounding areas. As a Teaching Agency, we work closely with schools to match talented professionals with placements where they can thrive and make a real impact. 1. Support students with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
2. Assist with classroom activities, helping students to engage with their learning.
3. Provide one-to-one or small group support to students as needed.
4. Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment for all students.
5. Support students' social, emotional, and behavioural development.
6. Work closely with the class teacher to develop tailored strategies for student progress.
7. Encourage independence and self-esteem in students, helping them to reach their full potential.

1. Previous experience working with children or with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is desirable.
2. A genuine passion for supporting children.
3. Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
4. Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude.
5. A relevant qualification in education or childcare (such as a Teaching Assistant qualification or similar) is preferred, but not essential.
6. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
