Associate Town Planner - Infrastructure Team

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading independent consultancy specializing in planning and development services, with a strong track record in delivering major infrastructure projects across the UK.

This dynamic Consultancy is now looking for an experienced Town Planner to join their Infrastructure Team and play a key role in large-scale projects, including nuclear power stations, renewable energy, airport expansions, and transport schemes. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Leading DCO and TWAO projects from pre-application to Examination and determination.
2. Providing commercial advice on complex planning matters.
3. Managing internal and external project teams.
4. Mentoring junior colleagues and overseeing project deliverables.
5. Drafting reports, proposals, and fee submissions.

Candidate Requirements

1. Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects and the DCO process.
2. Degree or higher in a relevant subject and RTPI/RICS accreditation.
3. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
4. Strong understanding of UK planning law and commercial awareness.
5. A proactive, problem-solving attitude and the ability to lead teams.
