Job Title: Capacity Lead Engineer
Location: London
Salary: GBP52,000 + overtime + on call
Hours: Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm

The Capacity Lead Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimising the capacity planning, utilisation, and performance of building systems across a portfolio of properties. This includes leading the assessment of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) infrastructure to ensure reliability, compliance, and alignment with operational requirements and future growth.

1. Responsible for the H&S of the sites and engineers.
2. On site HV and LV Authorised Person when qualified.
3. To proactively check the operation of the Permit to Work system in accordance with the company, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements. Especially with regards to sub-contractors adherence to RAMS.
4. Ensure that sub-contractors perform to meet the requirement of the contract. Administer subcontractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
5. Undertake other tasks as defined and requested by site management.
6. To undertake annual appraisals of shift technicians once you have completed the Appraisal and Development training course.
7. Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.
8. Ensure the Computer Based Maintenance system, e.g. Maximo, Concept, etc is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
9. Work closely with the Area Contract Manager to ensure that the service levels are maintained to a consistently high level.

1. Strong background in building services engineering, ideally electrically qualified (level 3 or equivalent).
2. Proven experience in a technical or engineering leadership role within the building maintenance or facilities management sector.
3. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and system schematics.
4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
5. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
6. Familiarity with BMS, CAFM, and energy monitoring systems.

1. Experience working in critical environments (e.g., data centres, healthcare, or high-security sites).
2. Knowledge of energy efficiency frameworks and building optimisation techniques.
