Job Description

1. Provide consolidated management accounts, forecasts and budgets to support effective business decisions.
2. Preparation of a monthly Board Report and attendance at all Audit Committees.
3. Oversee the production of half-yearly and annual financial accounts consolidations.
4. Preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts for external publication.
5. Ensure that statutory accounting requirements are complied with throughout the Group.
6. Ensure that the Group complies with relevant corporate governance standards.
7. Maintain and develop the financial control environment and integrity of financial reporting processes.
8. Deal with external advisors to resolve any audit issues that may arise.
9. Management & development of a high quality team of Qualified individuals.

The Successful Applicant

1. Professional qualification, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
2. Very strong technical accounting knowledge base (IFRS) and financial accounting skills.
3. Have operated in a large Plc environment most likely FTSE 100 in a technical financial accounting position.
4. Previous technical interaction with professional/corporate advisers is desirable.
5. A good knowledge of process review, re-engineering, and continuous improvement.
6. The ability to manage and coach teams through business transformation and change.
7. Excellent written, visual and verbal, presentation skills.
8. Demonstrate a high degree of emotional intelligence with collaborative and team-working traits.
9. The ability to interact effectively with senior stakeholders and the confidence to challenge.
