Responsibilities

Breaking the mold of a traditional contact centre environment, the adviceDirect advisor is responsible to primarily support clients in the inbound call queue. A successful advisor will invoke trust and build strong client relationships, determine individual investment needs and provide professional, customized advice to ensure client's financial goals are met. Advisors will support clients with various requests such as onboarding, account access, various trade orders, investment strategies, suitability conversations etc. Advisors will also be required to fulfill sales and service activities for the clients in accordance with approved procedures.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who exhibit a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment and who truly want to make a difference in the lives of our clients. Successful candidates will have:

  • A minimum of four (4) years of relevant industry experience or a post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Completed Canadian Securities Course (CSC) & Conduct and Practices Handbook (CPH) or Canadian Investment Regulatory Exam (CIRE)
  • Knowledge of equity, mutual funds, GICs, HISAs, ETFs and bonds.
  • Robust knowledge and familiarity with wealth management strategies and their relative strengths and weaknesses
  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of client need by segmentation
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of industry regulations and standards
  • Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and listening skills.
  • Language preferences: Strong verbal and written language skills in both French and English

You're fluent in French and English as this role provides support to clients and team members inside and/or outside the province of Quebec.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: $43,200.00 - $80,300.00

Pay Type: Salaried

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
