Job summary
A construction company in Edmonton is seeking a full-time heavy equipment operator to manage cranes and transport materials. Must be reliable, team-oriented, and flexible with a secondary school diploma. The position is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads. The employer will provide training and is accepting applications from Canadian citizens and residents, as well as other candidates with a valid work permit. Competitive hourly rate offered.

Work locations may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.
- Load, unload and transport construction materials
- Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials
- Perform pre-operational inspection
- Clean and lubricate cranes
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
- Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs
- Level earth to fine grade specifications
- Perform routine maintenance work
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction
