Job summary
A leading distribution company in East Gwillimbury is seeking a Distribution Production Scheduler. This role involves planning and scheduling outbound orders, analyzing capacities, and coordinating across systems and teams. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in distribution, hands-on WMS experience, and strong problem-solving skills. A high school diploma is required, with a preference for those holding a bachelor’s degree. The position offers a pay rate ranging from $24 to $26 per hour.

Distribution Production Scheduler
Location: East Gwillimbury, ON

The Distribution Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and scheduling outbound order processing within distribution operations. This role focuses on daily production planning, capacity analysis, and coordination across systems and teams to ensure outbound goals are met efficiently and accurately.
- Plan and schedule daily outbound order processing based on capacity and inventory availability
- Analyze and schedule special order requirements, including expedites, reserved inventory, value-added services, substitutions, and customer-specific requests
- Maintain and manage Warehouse Management System (WMS) databases and control settings related to outbound planning
- Write and maintain SQL rules to support wave planning and execution
- Coordinate posting of reserved inventory across allocatable warehouses
- Review and resolve exception orders, inventory imbalances, and availability issues
- Test, review, and support updates to order planning and waving tools
- Recommend and implement approved system control changes
- Develop and deliver management reports on outbound production performance
- Create ad hoc system queries and reports as requested
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment
- Hands-on experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with PKMS or Manhattan Associates WMS (WMOS)
- Previous warehouse or distribution center leadership experience
- Experience as a WMS super user or WMS trainer
- Advanced skills in database queries, reporting tools, and spreadsheets
- Advanced data analysis and reporting capabilities
- Strong organizational and decision-making skills
- Ability to coordinate across departments (warehouse, customer service, transportation, sales)
- Comfortable working with large data sets and operational systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Office-based role within a distribution center
- Frequent coordination with warehouse production floor teams
- Extended use of computers and reporting systems
