Job Title: Contract Business Analyst – SAP Finance Master Data

Location: Calgary, AB

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 5/40

Our client is seeking a Contract Business Analyst – SAP Finance Master Data to work within their facilities located in Calgary, AB on a 1-year assignment.

Job Summary:

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining Finance Master Data in SAP ECC6 and S/4 HANA Central Finance systems. This includes managing cost centers, general ledger accounts, joint venture master data, reporting hierarchies, and legal entities.

The role requires experience in Finance Master Data, Joint Venture Accounting, and Reporting Hierarchies in SAP, as well as knowledge of integrated tools such as SAP Group Reporting, Winshuttle, and Blackline. The candidate will collaborate closely with corporate finance, operations controlling teams, and IT.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Financial Master Data in SAP ECC6 and S/4 HANA.
• Evaluate change requests, conducting business risk analysis to assess potential impacts.
• Support SAP system transformation, migration, and optimization projects.
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls and maintain audit documentation.
• Load SAP Balances into Blackline monthly.
• Troubleshoot Master Data issues and data replication between SAP ECC6 and S/4 HANA.
• Maintain user roles, access, and general ledger assignments in Blackline.
• Document and track support requests in ServiceNow.
• Assist with SAP S/4 and legal entity optimization projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of SAP experience (preferably in the Canadian Oil & Gas industry).
• Strong background in Finance Master Data Management and SAP backend table querying.
• Familiarity with SAP BW/BOBJ, Power BI, SAP Group Reporting, and Winshuttle (or similar tools).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This position follows a Monday-Friday (5/40) schedule.
