Role Overview

The Managing Director (MD) of Endeavor UAE will lead and manage the strategic, operational, and financial aspects of the organization. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the MD will act as a driving force behind the mission of fostering high-impact entrepreneurship in the UAE and the region. The MD will champion Endeavor’s values, catalyzing growth for selected entrepreneurs while nurturing a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

1. Develop and execute a strategic vision for Endeavor UAE in alignment with Endeavor Global's overarching mission.
2. Represent Endeavor UAE as a thought leader within the entrepreneurial and business ecosystem.

Entrepreneur Selection and Value Delivery:

1. Oversee the rigorous selection process of high-impact entrepreneurs who exhibit exceptional potential for growth and scalability, ensuring alignment with Endeavor’s global standards.
2. Deploy and continually develop/enhance the Endeavor value proposition, leveraging mentorship, network access, strategic guidance, and new opportunities to maximize the impact on selected entrepreneurs.

Financial and Operational Management:

1. Build and oversee the organization’s budget, ensuring financial sustainability through effective P&L management.
2. Identify and secure sponsorships, partnerships, and funding opportunities to support Endeavor’s initiatives and programs.

Ecosystem, Community Building, and Policy Engagement:

1. Cultivate and strengthen relationships with mentors, industry leaders, and ecosystem stakeholders, ensuring their meaningful engagement in Endeavor’s mission.
2. Build and foster partnerships with policymakers, government entities, and regulatory authorities to shape initiatives that advance entrepreneurship and economic growth in the UAE.
3. Elevate Endeavor’s brand by organizing impactful events, driving thought leadership, and creating visibility within the regional and global entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Board and Stakeholder Engagement:

1. Actively engage and manage the Board of Directors, leveraging their expertise and networks for strategic guidance.
2. Serve as the primary liaison between Endeavor UAE, other regional offices, and Endeavor Global, ensuring alignment and collaborative success.

Cross-Border Collaboration:

1. Coordinate with Endeavor Catalyst to facilitate funding rounds that include Endeavor’s venture fund, enabling portfolio companies to access capital and strategic investors.
2. Strengthen synergies with global Endeavor offices to promote knowledge sharing and joint initiatives.

Team Development:

1. Lead, inspire, and manage a multidisciplinary team to deliver on Endeavor UAE’s mission and goals.
2. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the organization.

Skills

Qualifications

Experience:

1. A proven track record of 10+ years in leadership roles, preferably in entrepreneurship, venture capital, management consulting, or a related field.
2. Demonstrated success in P&L management, fundraising, or building strategic partnerships.

Skills:

1. Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse stakeholders.
3. Effective communication and public-speaking skills to represent Endeavor UAE at regional and global platforms.
