Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) is looking for passionate and highly motivated Faculty. The Department of Statistics and Data Science invites applications for an Assistant Professor tenure-track faculty position in Statistics and Data Science. We seek researchers with strong potential in both theoretical and applied statistics. The successful candidate will contribute to high-quality instruction, mentor graduate students, shape curriculum development, and engage in interdisciplinary research at the intersection of statistics, data science, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The Department of Statistics and Data Science at MBZUAI focuses on the rigorous statistical and probabilistic foundations of machine learning and data science. Our current research includes areas such as statistical learning theory, high-dimensional statistics, causal inference, uncertainty quantification, fairness and interpretability in AI. We encourage interdisciplinary research, integrating statistical innovation with decision sciences, healthcare, climate science, and computational biology.
